teh Coffee

let them put it in your mouth.

Where can I get something tasty to put into my mouth?

tehCoffee(.com) that is.

I heard about TehCoffee from the Dan Baumfeld a while back when he was still in Beta-versions. I’ve been watching TehCoffee grow over the past few months and  thought I should share it with ya’ll. Teh is about more than helping you find the closest coffee shop near you, it’s to help those who are forever cursed with never being able to “just”  have a “cup” of “coffee.” (too many quotes?- I don’t think so!) I gave up on adventuring for great espresso around Seattle for a long time, so once I finally ventured out again and put my palate into some young chaps hand, I was pleasantly surprised with some of the outcomes. Things change, roast profiles develop, new coffees arrive, and baristas move around. Keeping up with quality coffee is hard enough as it is and tehCoffee(.com) is helping make it easier to put something in your mouth.

One thing Dan set out to do was to “employ” professional coffee types to drink coffee and help get it into the empty gullets of  the likes of us. But not everyone can write a review for Teh. You have to actually know what you’re talking about in espresso and brewed coffee preparations. For instance- the espresso beverage evaluations are very similar to the Specialty Coffee Association of America’s United States Barista Championship score sheets for Sensory Judges. Pretty intense, huh? Right now, the reviews are slowly filtering in (they do all their reviews “by the cup…” and yes, pun intended.) You do need to sign-up to use TehCoffee, and content is moderated for quality and training purposes. If you feel like doing a review I just ask you do one thing after signing-up with tehCoffee(.com)… don’t be that asshole that comes into the cafe on his/her high-horse judging everything. TehCoffee is helping recognize coffee shops doing quality. Check it out for yourself.
